Ben Foster and Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie star in Debra Granik's adaptation of 'My Abandonment' by Peter Rock. Army veteran Will (Foster) lives with his teenage daughter Tom (Harcourt McKenzie) in the wilderness of an urban park in Portland, Oregon. They live off-grid and Will teaches Tom everything that she needs to learn. When their canvas home is discovered by the authorities, they are forced to leave the park and are re-housed in a community where they are expected to thrive. Having been away from society for so long however, how will the father-daughter team cope back in civilisation?
