British drama from the 1950s directed by Carol Reed. Young boy Joe (Jonathan Ashmore) lives in a bustling area of London's East End with his mother, Joanne (Celia Johnson), above a tailor shop run by the kindly Mr Kandinsky (David Kossoff). As Kandinsky regales Joe with folk tales about mythology he tells the young boy about how a captured unicorn has the ability to grant any wish. When Joe is wandering the streets and comes across a little goat with only one horn he believes it to be a unicorn and purchases it from the vendor. Meanwhile, one of Mr Kandinsky's employee's, Sam (Joe Robinson), takes up wrestling in order to earn extra money to help him buy a ring for his girlfriend, Sonia (Diana Dors). Will Joe and his special kid be enough to allow everyone to achieve their dreams?
