Trilogy of sci-fi action features starring Tim Thomerson. In 'Trancers' (1984) the wife of hard-nosed cop Jack Deth (Thomerson) is killed by zombie-like creatures known as trancers, so he goes after the criminal using psychic powers to control them, Martin Whistler (Michael Stefani), in the Angel City of 2247. But Jack is forced to pursue his target through time as Whistler travels back to 1985 in an attempt to take control of their present city. Will Jack be able to gain his revenge before Whistler eliminates all the future governors of LA from existence? In 'Trancers II' (1991) Deth has quietly adapted to primitive 20th-century life with new wife Lena (Helen Hunt). But his peace is short-lived when his dead wife Alice (Megan Ward) turns up, having been sent back in time to help Jack fight Wardo (Richard Lynch) and his crew who have created a trancer farm to enslave the homeless for their mass army. In 'Trancers III' (1992) the trancers continue to return to the 23rd century, now controlled by a fanatical dictator who is making them invincible. Jack Deth takes it upon himself to stop them by destroying the whole trancer programme and saving Angel City from destruction.
