As some of the world's top guitar players will confirm, Joe Brown is that rarest of things in the professional music world - a musician's musician, a guitar player's guitar player. In the early days Joe played alongside legends such as Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and Billy Fury. He backed Johnny Cash and others on TV. He was soon headlining British tours that featured opening acts Del Shannon, Dion, the Crystals, and an up and coming band called The Beatles. This box set contains six albums of music drawn from across his entire career from the very beginning, through the folk/rock combo Brown's Home Brew, right up to the present day. Discs 1 to 3 feature some of John's previously released albums that segue easily into each other by genre or sonically; disc 4 is full of the golden oldies; disc 5 is all previously unavailable on CD and comprises 'Complete Rarities', 15 of the magnificent Brown's Home Brew tracks, a few rehearsal takes and a Christmas single; disc 6 contains various live tracks, home demos and Nashville publishing demos; and disc 7 is a live DVD.
