Sunshine (hmv Exclusive) The 1921 Centenary Edition Yellow & Red 'Sunshine' Splatter Vinyl
2021 marked a full century since the first hmv store opened its doors at 363 Oxford Street in London, with July 24 seeing us celebrate our 100th birthday, in style with a brand new and exclusive range of limited edition vinyl just for you...
As part of our continuing birthday celebrations we're pleased to announce this year's additions to our 1921 Centenary Edition range, for which we have carefully curated a selection of the finest albums and soundtracks from the last 100 years and had them specially pressed onto some beautiful coloured vinyl - all of which will be available exclusively in hmv stores on Saturday June 18th and from store.hmv.com at 4pm the same day. As ever, our exclusives will be available on a first come, first served basis... and when they're gone, they're gone!
First released in December 2001, S Club 7's third studio album 'Sunshine' reached No. 3 and spent 18 weeks on the Top 40. It includes the singles 'Never Had A Dream Come True' (No. 1, December 2000), 'Don't Stop Movin'' (No. 1, May 2001), 'Have You Ever' (No. 1, December 2001) and 'You' (No. 2, February 2002).
Not only is this the first time that 'Sunshine' has been available on vinyl - yellow and red sunshine vinyl, at that - but in a world exclusive for hmv, this is the first time that any of the S Club 7 albums has been available on vinyl anywhere!
The all-time great 'Don't Stop Movin'' was voted 'The Record of The Year 2001' by UK viewers of the ITV programme of the same name and won the BRIT Award for Best British Single in 2002. It has since been covered by the likes of The Beautiful South and Starsailor.
'Never Had A Dream Come True' was the band's most successful single in the US, reaching No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2001.
Album track 'Summertime Feeling' includes a writing credit for Christine McVie, as it samples Fleetwood Mac's 1988 No. 4 'Everywhere'.
