Western starring Emile Hirsch and John Cusack. Irish immigrant Patrick Tate (Hirsch) is a carpenter and undertaker living in the small town of Garlow where Preacher Pike (Danny Webb) holds sway over the puritanical and God-fearing residents. Patrick lives a fairly settled life with his wife Audrey (Deborah Francois) and their two children, but with business dwindling Patrick dreams about making it out to California with his family. However, the arrival of Dutch Albert (Cusack) and his small cohort of bounty hunters leads to an increase in business for Patrick. With the saloon open again and an on-going feud between Preacher Pike and Albert, Patrick finds himself facing a moral dilemma as the body count continues to rise and his services are required more than ever.
