Now That's What I Call 40 Years: 2013-2023 - Volume 4

£14.99

Released: 24th November 2023. 'NOW That's What I Call Music!' is excited to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and we are proud to present four very special collector's editions that together present 250 essential hits from the past 40 years on CD. The fourth of these is 'NOW That's What I Call 40 Years: Volume 4 - 2013-2023'. Looking back at 10 years of huge Pop hits, this special edition 3CD is housed in 'hard-back-book' packaging, including a 26-page booklet featuring a summary of the era, a track-by-track guide, a quiz, plus original singles and NOW artwork. 67 tracks that span 10 years of NOW releases, including tracks from all of the numbered 'NOW That's What I Call Music!' albums from NOW 86 to NOW 115. CD1 opens in 2013 with massive #1s; 'Wake Me Up' from Avicii, and the debut ('Royals') from Lorde, before more #1s from Miley Cyrus, Pitbull feat. Ke$ha, and 'Happy' - a global best-seller by Pharrell Williams. 'Sing' gave Ed Sheeran his first UK #1, and Idina Menzel had a huge success with 'Let It Go', from the film 'Frozen'. The first disc features debut solo chart hits from Ella Henderson, Hozier and Meghan Trainor, as well as the biggest solo hit-to-date for Sia, James Bay, Paloma Faith and Years & Years. Up next is 'Uptown Funk' - the collaboration between Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars - 2015's biggest selling hit in the UK and the second biggest seller of the decade. Hook-laden pop hits from Little Mix, Shawn Mendes and DNCE are all included. 'Love Yourself' by Justin Bieber hit #1 in January 2016, and this was the first time ever a single artist had #1, #2, and #3 in the Singles Chart! Superb UK chart debuts from Christine And The Queens, 'Tilted', and Rag'n'Bone Man's 'Human' lead into a stellar run of dance-pop smashes from The Chainsmokers & Coldplay, Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson, Dua Lipa, and Rita Ora. Disc Two also celebrates the first #1s from George Ezra and Lewis Capaldi, the first top 3 single from Billie Eilish and the huge #1 collaboration between Calvin Harris and Sam Smith, and closes with the 11-weeks-at-#1 sensation 'Dance Monkey' from Tones And I. The final disc opens in 2020 with the year's biggest single 'Blinding Lights' from The Weeknd, alongside more #1s from Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X, and Joel Corry feat. MNEK - plus the #1 debut 'drivers license' from Olivia Rodrigo. Glass Animals scored a massive global hit with 'Heat Waves' and both Tom Grennan and Sam Fender enjoyed their biggest hits to date. Elton John was back at #1 in 2021 in partnership with Dua Lipa on 'Cold Heart' and other huge-hit collaborations include David Guetta & Bebe Rexha and Sam Smith & Kim Petras. The Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 produced two massive hits for Sam Ryder, and Rosa Linn, and in 2023 for Loreen. As the track-list comes up to date, we celebrate the biggest UK hits for Lizzo, Cat Burns, PinkPantheress and SZA. The final track - taken from the Summer of 2023 - is 'Padam Padam' from Kylie Minogue. an artist who has enjoyed, much like 'NOW That's What I Call Music!', continued success during 5 decades from the '80s to the '20s. 'NOW That's What I Call 40 Years' - celebrating NOW's legacy with Massive Pop Hits from the past 40 years.
